Pastor Souheil Saoud was born in northern Lebanon. He obtained two degrees: a bachelor’s degree in English literature, and a diploma in education from Haigazian University in Beirut in 1986. And a master’s degree in theological sciences from the Evangelical Theological College in the Near East in 1989.
He held the position of president of the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon for ten years. And the presidency of the Lebanese Evangelical Association for three years. And the secretariat of the Educational Affairs Committee in the Evangelical Synod in Syria and Lebanon for a period of seventeen years, and the position of the secretariat of the Social and Medical Services Committee in the Synod for a period of six years. This is in addition to his service as a pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Beirut, and as a pastoral official for the Jamiliya and Majdlouna churches in the Chouf. Rev. Souheil Saoud is a writer for the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar, and a provider of intellectual and theological articles for about ten magazines and newspapers in the Arab world.
